Eric & Eileen decided to settle on our “Documentary Film” package for their beautiful wedding day. Normally, our web teasers are reserved for Wedding Story but this couple made a huge impression on me and when they told me that they are leaving for Australia in the new year, I decided to put together this little clip for them.
Velvetine Studios want to wish a Happy Christmas to all our fantastic couples and blog readers who helped to make 2009 a great year… and it’s not even over yet!

Shirley, Gerry, and their adorable son Jack… Nothing less than Wedding Story is good enough for this family and wow, what a Wedding Story this one is.
Every wedding is different but trust me, this one was really different. The ceremony took place in the famous Claddagh Church in Galway. We love filming in this wonderful city and we got to bump into some familiar faces like Sean Lydon the photographer (an absolute gentleman of the highest order!) and Pat from Getaway Limos (another gent who always delivers his brides in the best of style).
When the ceremony was finished – vows exchanged, the baby baptised – it was time to head off to Renvyle House in Mayo for some great speeches, tasty food, and party party party. In fact, when we were heading on the road back to Tralee the next morning they were still partying. Great wedding!
Thanks a million to The Griffin Family for having us as part of it all.

Shelly & Damien were an absolute dream from the moment I met them and their wedding was fun, sincere, and it was a joy to be part of it all. Shelly picked her vendors very carefully and I was honoured to be among the mix.
We arrived to capture morning preps and I found the bridal party scurrying around the house looking for Batt’s shoes. It didn’t knock a stir out of Shelly and she relaxed with her pink champagne as Martha did her make-up (check Makeup-By-Martha) and Munster Mobile Hairdressing took care of the hair. Philip Daly – who I love working with because he’s such a nice guy! – worked his usual magic with the wedding party and had everyone (including me) in stitches.
The ceremony was hosted by Fr. Kiely and Fr. Buckley in Annascaul and the church was beautifully decorated by Every Occasions Florists from Tralee. Music was by Arundo – I’ve loved this band since the very first time I heard them so I was delighted to see them again – but what impressed me most was Shelly’s mass booklets which had some meaningful words of wisdom at the end of each page.
The reception was held at Ballygarry House Hotel - I love, love, love filming at this venue because the management and staff are one in a million. They really do treat their couples and guests like royalty and it’s no wonder it’s such a popular venue (check out one of the managers, Cathal, in stitches laughing during the speeches).
Great people make great weddings and Shelly & Damien’s Wedding Story is off the charts… Hope you all enjoy their teaser!
